There are various types of EV charging stations, categorized by charging speeds: Level 1 (120V, standard household outlet), Level 2 (240V, faster charging), and Level 3 (DC fast charging, ultra-rapid charging). categorized by socket: type 1, for US standard SAE J1772, Type 2, for EU Standard IEC 62196-2

Charging times vary depending on the station’s charging speed, the EV’s battery capacity, and its current state of charge. Level 1 might take hours, Level 2 can take several hours, and Level 3 fast charging can provide significant charge in around 30 minutes.
